In honor of my mother, Rose Marie Borrelli, Freedom House Ministry is releasing her book postmortem.  I know if my mom were here, she would be doing cartwheels, if not physically able to do so for sure in her heart, because her dream, desire, and vision has come to pass:  HER BOOK – Take Care of Your Heart

What better way to honor my mom than to unveil her book to you on her day of going home to be with her Savior, August 19, 2019.  It’s been 4 years now, and I can hardly believe that it’s been that long since she is not with us.  Yet when I look around in my heart, in my family, and Freedom House Ministry, I see my mother’s fingerprints everywhere.   And let me say, it’s pure joy!  This book is in the loving memory of one of my heroes on this side of eternity.  And she was—and still is!

Few people leave a lasting impression in your heart, but she was definitely one of them to so many.  Her celestial wisdom, her undeniable quick wit, and her depth of counseling knowledge and compassion were easily exhibited in her library of reference materials which were always at her fingertips and available to whomever sat across from her.  She knew where everything was in her office because everything was categorized and organized.  When she would counsel, she could easily and effectively grab material on the topic and subject at hand.  Her office was a gold-mine, a wealth of information, including DVD’s, CD’s, stacks of notebooks on every topic, documents, and prayers of every kind and for every life situation and feeling.  And yes, even videos.

I know for sure if she were here and holding her book in her hands, she would be crying with great joy.  This book was birthed in her heart and from all the needy and hurting counselees that came through her office and sat across from her over many years.

The messages were something so strong within her about sharing with children the principles of Bitter Root Judgments, the Law of Sowing and Reaping, and Inner Vows, so that they would not be carrying so much baggage into their adult years.  Therefore, they would not need to seek out a counselor over marooned and wrecked marriages, relationships, and families, and lost years due to misconstrued identity.

This book carries my mother’s voice through the pages, because as many of you know, there were certain phrases and sayings she would use in counseling, teaching, and in prayer.  So, as you read through the pages, I’m sure you will be hearing my mother’s voice saying: “Over to you, Lord,” “I fling this to the cross,”  “If you don’t express and confess your anger, you will get a heart of stone,” and  “Take the arrows of hurtful words and aim them at the cross” to remind you of a few of her poignant maxims.

My mother, Rose Marie, always wanted to leave a lasting legacy and that she did—with people, with her family, and with Freedom House Ministry counselees and students, and now through her newly published book Take Care of Your Heart.

THIS BOOK is made to teach children but can touch adults as well. When you are sad, so is Jesus, because He feels with you. Understanding how we feel matters to God. Yes, it matters to God how we live and how we choose to act in the world based on what has happened to us and the negative feelings that have resulted. Unfortunately, children don’t always know how to understand their feelings and behave in response to difficult situations and those subsequent feelings.  So, this is a book that is encouraging us to help children process their feelings and emotions so they can by learning how to appropriately engage with Jesus. Consequently, they will not end up sowing so many bitter seeds which produce bitter roots and then bitter fruits in their adult years that reap such a bitter harvest.

Blood & Fire

What happened to me the other day in my quiet time was so powerful and so important I felt the leading of the Holy Spirit to share this with you.  My prayer is that each one will feel an urgency governed by the Holy Spirit, and a shaking within your spirit to be empowered and enlightened to be ready in season and out of season. 

I believe God is looking for a people who will stand up and make a statement of faith in such a way it would be undeniably, unquestionably, and unbashfully that YOU are a follower of Jesus Christ, and YOU will not compromise His truths nor His ways.

I can’t impress this on you too strongly. God is looking over your shoulder. Christ himself is the Judge, with the final say on everyone, living and dead. He is about to break into the open with his rule, so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don’t ever quit. Just keep it simple.  2 Timothy 4:1-2 – (The Message)

As I sat in my quiet time singing the hymn, “In the Garden,” which by the way was my grandfather’s song that he would sing frequently, per my mom, Rose Marie, I felt a special connection to my grandfather as I sang this timeless hymn.

Thou Christ of burning, cleansing flame,

Updates From Freedom House

1. The Texas trip in April to the Convergence Prophetic Conference was an inspiration and motivation for our service in FHM.
2. At the end of April, the Schools Graduation was a wonderful success, and many blessings were upon the students and staff.  Speakers, Pastor Wayne and Kathy Fife, were superb and imparted a Father’s Heart of love and encouragement to our graduating students and guests.
3. Our “How to Hear God Thru Your Dreams” and “Everyday Angels” live Zoom Classes with Charity Virkler Kayembe were amazing, as the Lord manifested among us.
4. Such great friends Joseph & Heather Z’s Zoom Event, “Taking the Pulse of a Nation,” was powerful and encouraging for our times.  It certainly was a prelude for all that I’m sharing with you today in this article.
5. Mark Virkler, Charity’s father, will be doing a Zoom Event in the Fall, “Eden’s Health Plan – Go Natural!  Live Long Enough to Fulfill Your Destiny.”  Details to follow.
6. Schools Start Up this Fall – Day 1 is September 16 and Applications are due August 23.
7. Many Counselees are flooding into FHM, including pastors, leaders, and teen-agers.  PTL!!!
8. Tommy and Mari Anne have started a Mentorship Program for those who graduated 201 & 202, training up a team to help shoulder FHM’s vision as well as becoming Prayer Counselors.
9. Mari Anne’s Mother’s Day Message at Spirit of God Church, South Holland, IL was a blessing and encouragement to the church. Plans are being made for me to lead a Women’s Retreat.
10. Mari Anne will be beginning to write her book entitled – THE Godfather: Abiding in Hs Witness Protection Plan – Psalm 91.
11. Along with her daughter, Karin Marie, Mari Anne will launch a Podcast, “Joy in the Meantime,” this Fall.  Details to follow.
12. Rose Marie’s Book has arrived early for the anniversary of her homegoing.  Details for getting your own copy will be forthcoming!

Hello Everyone,

How many of us in this time and season need to be rescued, liberated, or saved from a very intense and painful situation?  Perhaps we need to be rescued from a sickness, from a broken relationship, an addiction, or from a mountain of debt?  We all have situations and circumstances in each of our lives that we need to see Jesus come to the rescue—Jesus running into our seemingly impossible situation to bring redemption, hope, and a miracle. 

Truth be told, I have seen many miracles in these 48 years of my spiritual life.  Some of these miracles have been small and modest, as well as, some miracles that have been monumental and colossal.

I have seen instantaneous healings from broken toes to cancer, from relationships that looked doomed and beyond reconciliation yet God resurrected that marriage, to the totally lost prodigal that came running home to love, serve, and honor God and family.  From the barren women who couldn’t conceive but now has several children.  From no jobs to jobs that took off into their dream career and fulfilled their destiny.   Cars that were given, houses that were given, to diamonds that were generously given.  Court rulings that vindicated and exonerated.  Vacation trips, even cruises taking me to a house fully furnished to the color, design, and furniture of my liking.  Multiplying money in the bank account or in my wallet when in Bible School.  Finding money along side of the road with words written on several fifty-dollar bills: “It’s Your Money. It’s Your Gift from God.”  One day when we needed change for the toll booth, and I had no money or change, right outside of my window was the exact 50 cents that I needed.  God is interested in ALL areas and details of our lives.  He cares!!!

Yes, miracles from a mountain of debt to a mountain of freedom from drugs and complete alcoholic freedom overnight.  Angels coming to rescue me from a very dangerous and deadly confrontational former convict.  Oh, the list can go on and on.  I have often stated in my 48 years of walking with the Lord: “WE SHOULD SEE MIRACLES HAPPENING ON A DAILY BASIS . . . BECAUSE WE HAVE A MIRACLE-WORKING GOD WHO COMES TO OUR RESCUE.”

How can we walk and live in a place of miracles in our lives?  Why does God give us miracles and for what purpose?  Let me first state some very important facts:

All things depend on God, and He depends on nothing outside of Himself—for He is a complete explanation and description of all phenomena and occurrences in life—in heaven and in the earth.  The wonder and awe of God is that God’s existence and power do NOT depend on the laws of operation of the physical realm or the world.  God keeps the universe and the heavens and everything conforming and obeying to Himself.  God is alive—all active and all powerful—and He intervenes in the created order with miracles in which He loves to love us with all kinds of wonder working miracles.  

Miracles are the supernatural works of the true, living, and Almighty God.  Miracles represent God’s revealed love, power, and glory in one’s life.  Miracles are for the “benefit” of man.  True, godly miracles are scientifically inexplicable and physically unfathomable and natural forces alone could NOT produce them.

Miracles are God’s providence for each one of us.  They are one of God’s high priorities for you and for me.  Nothing delights, excites, and thrills the Lord more than when He releases His wonder working miracle in our lives. Miracles help us to see, understand, and walk in more of the revelation of His love, power, and glory.  Miracles are part of the revelation of who God is in our life, in our particular situation and troubling circumstance.  Miracles  teache us different aspects of His character and of His matchless love for us. He releases freedom and liberates truth, justice, and divine glory of His beauty.  Miracles are God’s way of interacting with us daily—repeatedly and constantly in a very significant, important, and intimate way of bringing His kingdom into our human realm.  

When miracles happen, literally it means, “Jesus Came to the Rescue.” Jesus showed up.  He steps out of heaven into our world and makes a special delivery of love bombs into our life. 

Futhermore, miracles can also come in the form of divine wisdom, glorious peace, or the needed release that literally transforms the situation.  Miracles can also look like PEACE that goes beyond comprehension, in which Jevhovah Shalom steps into that situation so that all worry, fear, and dread are melted away, and we stand in a place of His holy hope and fiery faith.  Miracles give us and mankind hope that with God nothing is impossible.  Man cannot outperform, out-maneuver God because miracles are not about man’s power, knowledge, or science.  It’s about the hope of His redemption, resurrection, and His manifestation of power and glory and for the Good News to be seen and heard.  

Finally, with miracles God is personally and powerfully revealing His Kingdom, that everything is completely under His control. It’s how His Kingdom and the spiritual world communicates to us in our world.  

How to Get Ready for YOUR Miracle!

Then Joshua said to the people, “Sanctify yourselves (for His purpose), 

for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders (miracles) among you.” Joshua 3:5 (Amplified)

Quick overview of Joshua 3: The children of Israel had come right to the threshold of their Canaan. They were about to cross over the Jordan River, about to enter their Promised Land, about to possess their inheritance—a land flowing with milk and honey, a land of abundance, a land of great provision and promise, a land of plenty.  In order to get there, they had to cross the River Jordan.  However, in the natural during that time of year the river was in great distress, difficulty, and danger.  It covered a great territory, and it was seemingly impossible for them to get through the River Jordan.  

Remember friends, God does NOT ask us to go where He does not lead.  He knew the timing of the year that the Israelites would be crossing the River Jordan.  He knew how the river was going to be dangerous and impossible in the natural.  He wasn’t surprised or taken aback. He actually was setting them up to receive their miracle at the Jordan River. So, when they entered the Promised Land they would be entering into a ground-breaking miracle right out of the gate and stepping into God’s fiery love bombs. 

There is an old hymn: Got any rivers you think are uncrossable?  Got any mountains, you can’t tunnel through?  God specializes in things tho’t impossible, and He can do what no other power can do.

Dear Father God, 

I pray for each one of my friends with my whole heart that they would know YOUR unmistakable love, Your fiery bombs of grandeur, and Your Holy wonder of miracles as they stand at their river Jordan ready to cross over into YOUR “Promised Land.”  Let each one know, feel, and experience in their soul YOUR celebration of love, wonder, and miracles.

 Instill their hearts with faith, hope, and trust. Heal them from the inside out with Your mighty, fiery love bombs, and crown them with Your love and mercy as You supercharge their faith to see the impossible coming into the possible.  Make things right in their hearts, in their lives, and give them wings to fly high in the sky of Your glory of miracles for them to hear the chorus of Heaven singing—God can do what no other power can do, when the water’s too high.   

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Updates, Miracles, & News

1. Freedom House Schools 2021-22 April, 2022, Graduation, went very well with 63 students, staff, and guests in attendance. Many said it was one of the best FHM graduation celebrations ever.  A few students performed some fun “skits,” which brought great laughter.  Mark and Maureen Sandford gave an anointed and inspiring teaching and commencement address. We all enjoyed our time together, praising and thanking God for all that He had done in each life.  At the end, forming a “Fire-Tunnel,” everyone went through as the staff, Sandfords, and Andersens prayed over each one.
2. Freedom House Schools 2022-23:  Stay tuned to your email to hear details of the Schools starting in September 2022 and running through April 2023. Applications will be due August 22.
3. Prayer Counseling Ministry has been very special lately, (it usually is) but sometimes when the Holy Spirit shows up instanteously, and we get to participate in the changed life right in front of us, it’s pretty awesome.  We’re counseling more pastors and leaders as their pain and hurts go deep because they need a safe place to be real.  What an honor and priviledge to be that safe harbor for pastors and leaders. Additionaly, I’m now counseling several “teen-agers” who are seeking truth from the inside out.  In these teen-aged sessions, I also get to see reconciliation with their parents.  What a joy!  Finally, it also seems I’m counseling several regarding Co-Dependent issues that God wants to heal.
4. The Prophetic Ministry is also running strong as many are wanting appointments for a prophetic word.  People from all around the US are desiring more of the prophetic. I give the Holy Spirit the glory and honor as He imparts more insight, wisdom, and clear words for each individual.  
5. Good News Coming to FHM:  We hear over and over how lives are being touched through Freedom House and how they can feel, see, and experience a transformed life leading to a transformed family.  Miracles are happening in individual’s lives and couple’s lives.  What an honor to be involved in this type of healing!
6. Zoom Events:  In July, the event on “The Temperments” went great.  It is always so much fun to give this teaching as it is one of my favorite topics.  Another Zoom Event on Co-Dependency is coming up:  What Is It and How to Overcome this “Desease of Niceness.”  Watch for an email.

Dear Freedom House Family,

The Father is equipping and preparing each of us for “A New View for YOU in 2022.”  What does that really mean?  The act of seeing or examining, inspecting, surveying, prospecting the near future, lookout, outlook, panorama, and perspective.  Much too often we are looking through our own lenses, and we get blinded with blurry vision that can lead to misinterpretation.

This year the Father is inviting us to look through His lenses and to see what He sees.  My friends, this year will be a NEW VIEW for YOU . . . IF you look through His lenses.

The Father said this is the year and season for the Zechariahs to arise and shine, for the shakings that will LEAD to awakenings. This is the Hebraic Year of 5782 which means “awaken.” Awaken into the new view.  Awaken into His promises of revival, reformation, and reorganization. This is also the year for the hidden things to be made manifest, the secret things to be exposed, the “real” agenda to be revealed and the move from visitation to habitation.  It’s having a new view, a new outlook for our new year—peering into what the Father sees in the supernatural down the way and not just seeing what is happening in the natural.

Who Was Zechariah?

Zechariah was a young man, a priest, and a prophet who emphasized great encouragement, hope, and reassurance to God’s people, the Israelites. The times that Zechariah was living in were very similar to our times right now!  God’s people were living in a place of fear and hopelessness, and in a sense of being forgotten and neglected by God’s promises.  Like the days of Zechariah, God’s people found themselves in a world of division, confusion, and devastation all around and where sin was so blatant, corruption so visible, and hatred so noticeable.

Henceforth, Zechariah comes with a great and wonderful message of hope, of encouragement, and of reminders of God’s promises. He also urges and exhorts a call to repentance and states very clearly what God spoke for his people to do  . . . “Return to me, and I will return to you.”

Beloved, I believe this is what God is calling each one of us to do in this year, in this season and in this hour—return to Him, return to His ways, return to His precepts.  For God’s ways are right and radiant, giving light to the eyes of our understanding and for right living so that we can see A New View for You in 2022.

Zechariah and the Promises of God

1. Return to me, declares the Lord Almighty and I will return to you. (1:3) – God is wooing us all to return back to Him and to be a light to the lost world all around us.  To be a people who can see from His perspective, from His watch tower and not to live in a place of fear and hopelessness, to separate ourselves unto God to be a holy people.

2. I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. (1:16) – God’s promise to restore us with great mercy and to rebuild the ruins within us and all around us.  His Presence will be manifested.

3. I myself will be a wall of fire around it – and I will be its glory within. (2:5) – His great protection will be a wall of fire – Yahweh Himself would provide security and His protection as well as His Presence.  The wall of fire will be released as His Shekinah Glory of the Lord.

4. Whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye. (2:8) – To know we are the “main” focus of God’s attention, the center of His universe for His love protects us, and to know we are in His watchful care.

5. Shout and be glad, O Daughter of Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you.  Be still before the Lord, all mankind because he has roused himself from his holy Dwelling.  (2:10-13) – Let’s begin to sing and rejoice because God is good and He will show His goodness along with His redemption, His restoration of His people.  We have been in captivity long enough.  Now is the time to shout to give Him glory.  For He comes to release execution and judge your adversaries in order to complete His deliverance and salvation.

6. Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit. (4:6) – The providence, authority, power, and energy of the Most High will be our true source.  No secular army, no human policy, and no government will get us out of trouble or hardship.  Our true source of guidance, our wisdom, and our assurance will only be by His Sovereign Spirit.

7. I will return to Zion and dwell in Jerusalem. The Jerusalem will be called the City of Truth, and the mountain of the Lord Almighty will be called the Holy Mountain.  (8:3) – God’s people will be transformed by the Presence of our Lord.  His Jerusalem and His people will be transformed into a place of truth and holiness.  His Presence will be so real that reformation will happen and take hold.

This is the Word of the Lord for 2022

A New View for You in 2022 means you will be looking at things from My perspective, My advantage point.  For I will arise, I will conquer, and I will defeat!  For My name will be heard throughout the land.  My name will be like hot coals upon their lips.  So, keep in prayer, and keep watch.  For I will suddenly arise in lightning speed.  For it only takes a second to change everything.  For I go by My standards, My timetable.  Mostly, I go by what I see down the road because I know the end from the beginning.

Rest assured and rest in My promise:  I have your back and have your best interest in My heart.  This year will be, “A New View for You in 2022” for I will walk with you every step of the way, and you will abide and dwell in the shelter of My heart.  I will release wings of safety and you will take flight in and of My Spirit to witness, to attest, and to certify that this year will be, “A New View for You” as you observe from My outlook center.

You will enter into and step into a new level of My Spirt and Glory for it will be, A New View for You:  new waves of My Heavenly sounds.  Sounds of Heaven will be heard far and wide, and many will be led by My Sounds of truth, love, and freedom.

This year will be a year of victory in Me and will look differently than victory in the world.  Be at rest in Me and continue to do your best, and I will absolutely do the rest.  Stay in My Presence of TRUST and do not let go of TRUST.  Don’t allow TRUST to slip away, no matter what you hear or what you see.

Trust, believe, and stand to know I AM—the Great I AM.  The Great I AM is releasing upon My people, upon My Church, and upon My nation for My Name’s Sake, which is—the Light of the World, the Bread of Life, The Good Shepherd, the Captain of Salvation, the Lord of Armies, The Great Deliver, and the Mighty and Just God.

Arise up all Zechariah’s and release My encouragement, My hope, and My Promises for I will rebuild, I will restore, and I will release My people back to a place of hope, life, and freedom.  There is revival in the air—breathe, believe, and see it for the sounds of My love flow from My house to your house.  For this year will be a new year that will set in new ways.  For your tents will be enlarged, your spheres of influence will be greater, and your ladders will go higher to touch My Presence.

You will have easier access to My Spirit.  Your ears will be sharpened to hear the piercing sound of My Spirit to walk in this new way, ways that point you to greater hope and greater triumph.  I will ROCK YOUR WORLD with showers of meteorites of love and shooting stars will rest upon you from My kingdom, for they will be My fireballs of love.  Bright, bold, and beautiful will be these fireballs of love resting upon you to light up your ways and to give you newer and deeper ways of My truth and revelation.

For your ears, eyes, and mouth will hear, see, and speak new words of My Spirit.  Lost artifacts will be released into your vision; things that seemed so buried and forgotten will be discovered and uncovered.  I am calling for great unity within My family, unity and harmony with husbands and wives to both be in step with Me, like riding a tandem bike, for speed and motion will all be in sync.  For I am calling the children, siblings, and neighbors and co-workers to walk in unity, harmony, and in one accord to love, honor, and respect one another.  This is the time to usher in great unity—to be in agreement with one another because Jesus Christ, My Son, is your common denominator.  Do not squabble and bicker over things that will cause division and dissension.  Stay in My Presence of love for My love is large and incredibly patient.  Remember My love will never traffic in shame and dishonor for My love is a safe place of shelter.  So, shelter in Me, My people, for My love is perfect.

God’s love is meteoric, His loyalty astronomic, His purposes titanic, his verdicts oceanic.  Yet in His largeness nothing gets lost; Not a man, not a mouse, slips through the cracks.

Father, I desire to rise up and be counted among the Zechariahs at this time and season of my life, my family’s life, and for the times of our nation.  Help me, Lord, to release Your words, as I hear and see Your heart.  Help me, Lord, to stand in the gap for our families, for our churches, and for our nation. Lord, give me the gift of encouragement, Your gift of hope, and the sweet gift of trust.  Sweeten my words to those who are discouraged, disheartened, and dismayed and release those prophetic messages of Your promises here and now. Father, forgive me in any way that I have turned my back on You.  I want to return to You completely and entirely in all ways so that You can return to me in this hour, and we can see Your ”fireballs” of love bombing our lives and nation.

Dear Friends,

Hear these words from your Savior…

. . .  Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. 

He who believes in me will live . . .”  (john 11:25)

What a powerful statement of truth, power, and glory as well as a bountiful and abundant life on this side of the resurrection as well as our eternal life on the other side!  My loving challenge to each of YOU is not to just think about resurrection glory and power just during Easter but to ask the Holy Spirit to bring you into a “resurrection mentally.”

Living from the resurrection side of the cross here and now is to live out the call, purpose, and life God has destined for YOU before the foundations of the world, which is a life of hope, healing, freedom, peace, and a life of power all because of the Great I AM who gives resurrection life here and now.

Living from the resurrection side of the cross means: to live a life of honor to our Lord and Savior, to experience the places of true life in every area of our lives, and to experience real and lasting transformation here on this side of eternity.

Living from the resurrection side of the cross is stepping into our genuine and legitimate heritage as sons and daughters of the Most-High God.

Here at Freedom House, we believe inner healing involves both crucifixion and resurrection.  On the crucifixion side of the cross, we call to death old structures and practices which dishonor—those bitter root judgments, foundational lies, and inner-vows that keep us stuck in wrong patterns of thinking and doing.  Consequentially, on the resurrection and life side, we call to restoration and LIFE that which honors, such as your true personhood and the original design and joy that God created for you.

Once you have dealt with those old structures that dishonor God, your life, your heritage, along with your woundedness, you bring it all to death on the cross.  Then, Christ Jesus is right there to release you into blessing, honor, and healing which means:

1. He will call you and your personality into a place of honor and your natural bent of personality, identity, and destiny.
2. He will tell you who YOU are in Him.
3. He will restore both personal and generational blessings.
4. He will give YOU real power through His Holy Spirit.

You will learn to walk out the resurrection side of healing and love and  

“not return evil for evil but giving blessing instead; for YOU were called

for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing.” (1 Peter 3:9)

Living from the resurrection side of the cross here and now, in your lifetime, means Jesus Christ will enable YOU to become the person you were always meant to be.

In this newsletter, because of the cross and the resurrection, I wanted you to read some of our counselees’ testimonies in how they have begun living from the resurrection side of the cross and to see how transformation took place because of the Great, I AM – and His resurrection.

Bridget’s Testimony:
After a very difficult 2020, – the most difficult year of my life -, I knew we needed help that only God could give.  We live in the Far East, and friends had expressed their desire for us to receive counselling …, but I couldn’t see a way for that.  To find Freedom House’s website was a pure miracle.  As we read through the materials found there, our hearts resounded with a deep and settled “Yes”.  Through this online counselling, the Lord has been meeting us with His love.  He has shown us connections between roots and fruit so much more clearly than before.  We have felt great support as we continue to invite the Lord into our family to heal us deeply, and to cleanse and deliver our family lines.  Thank you, Freedom House!

Emmanuel’s Testimony:
We have been blessed by the ministry of Freedom House.  The change in our daughter has been pronounced.  Much healing has taken place and is taking place in our lives.  I get along much better with my wife now, and family/generational issues are being dealt with. As if to confirm the restoration that is taking place in our family, the Lord connected us with some nieces we have not been in contact with for a very long time and with another one we have never even met.  And we have been talking. We praise God for that. Prayers offered for us in faith by Mari Anne have also helped us locate misplaced important documents in our home soon after the prayers were offered. We thank God for all these answers to prayer and the blessings we are experiencing under the ministry of Freedom House. A very satisfied client in the Far East!

S & L’s Testimony:

My wife and I have been married for 11 years.  We have three boys who are 13, 10, and 8.  Two years ago we experienced a trauma that was unimaginable and unforgettable.  Through our trauma, we were both in brokenness and in what felt like unrepairable everlasting damage and pain with no escape in sight.  We are both Christians, we both believe in grace, and we both believe in redemption; however, leaning into those beliefs and relying on Christ in the midst of darkness is difficult, for us.  And the process of healing feels overwhelming.

Finding a place that is centered in Christ and in Biblical Truths has been a true lifeline. We needed someone who carried no bias to walk with us through our trauma and we knew it needed to be someone who would point us towards Christ. When I think of pointing someone towards Christ, I think of John the Baptist. He went to the wilderness and shouted for anyone who was listening, “Prepare the way for the Lord, make strait paths for Him!” (Matthew 3:3)

We truly believe that the hope and goal of Freedom House Ministries is to help us, as a couple seeking Christ together, make way for the Lord and to create strait paths for Him.  Our story is not one of Jesus intervening and the Holy Spirit fixing everything at once and we are healed in an instant.  We have been going to Freedom House for almost two years, and during that time, have been facing our individual and marital issues, which has been hard.  We have cried, we have fought, we have sinned, we have loved, we forgiven.  We are imperfect people who continue to miss the mark in new ways, and sometimes, in the same way.  I guess you could say, we are exactly the helpless needy people we read stories about in the Bible whom Jesus came to save.  We are thankful to have a place like Freedom House which stays beside us through our ups and downs and continues to point us towards Christ.  We truly believe finding ourselves in Freedom House Ministries was orchestrated by God. 

TR’s Testimony:

If I were to summarize the past year in one word, I would say “liberating. I had been in counselling with Freedom House Ministry years ago, and another life crisis brought me back to them, seeking some way to simply get through.  When I called, I was crushed—my marriage was shattered, my mind filled with confusion and despair.  Mari Anne spoke one sentence of freedom that carried me through to our first counselling session.  I could not have foreseen the changes God brought about in me.  We always start with prayer, setting the tone for fruitful discussion.  While not at the end of my journey, I feel I am the healthiest (spiritually, emotionally, mentally) I have ever been.  I thought I was going to address circumstances and issues, but God had something else in store.

Mari Anne keeps detailed notes of our sessions that provide fodder for future discussions. Through counseling with Mari Anne, I have reached a level of self-acceptance I wasn’t even aware I needed (which directly impacts my marriage and other relationships).  She has shared a wealth of resources in the form of teachings, book suggestions, research, and connecting me with others who have walked in similar circumstances.  Her counsel has always been biblically based, often with a specific scripture for what is being addressed.  At the end of each session, I have direction (sometimes a word, sometimes an assignment), and each meeting builds on the previous. The meetings are not always easy but are always productive.  What a blessing this has been.  I am overcoming fear, self-loathing, anxiety, grief, and other battles.  I look forward to the future, instead of dreading it.

Mari Anne has imparted stability, faith, hope, and bravery as she has graciously counselled me.  This has dramatically impacted me, and I feel that the day is coming where I can join the woman Jesus addressed in Matthew 9:22 – “Courage, daughter.  You took a risk of faith, and now you’re well.” (The Message) – TR

These are just a few examples of what God is doing in people’s lives, and He desires greatly to see areas of healing generated within you as well to live out your purpose and destiny on the resurrection side of the cross.

Updates & Praise Reports from Freedom House

1. Tommy and I will be going to Bloomington, IL throughout the Summer, teaching/ministering to a house-church. Great people who are so hungry.
2. Prayer/Intercessors Meetings are going great under our new Intercessory Team Leader.
3. Course 201 & 202 Schools to begin in September 2021 going through May 2022. Application deadline is August 18. Go to the freedomhouseministry.com website and choose the Schools link to read about Course 201 and Course 202.  You can find an application there for new, returning or auditing students.  More to come soon about the Schools.
4. Mari Anne’s meeting with Staff, Small Group Leaders over the summer to renew, recharge, and replenish before our Schools begin in September 2021.
5. Mari Anne’s teaching opportunities are opening more to churches and home groups.
6. Tommy’s counseling sessions are exploding and thriving with God’s healing touch.
7. Mari Anne even has prayer counseling sessions in India now!
8. Mari Anne started filming with her media managers, Noelle and Ali, and will soon be releasing weekly “Life-Lessons on the Road to Emmaus” on YouTube. Keep an eye out for the announcement.
9. A new release of God’s anointing and favor is resting upon FHM.
10. Tommy, I, and the family will be going on a vacation to Disneyland in May.
11. We celebrated 39 years of marriage on April 3^rd.

My prayer for you and your family this Christmas and New Year is that you may experience the vastness, the extravagance, and the massiveness of God’s love and care for you.  The Father longs and yearns for us to experience the greatness of who He is and how He desires to fulfill our lives on this side of Eternity.

Paul’s most joyous discovery in his own life was that God lived in him.  The life of the godhead isn’t something far off away in heaven; it’s active within one’s very own life.  One of his most favorite expressions was “Christ in me.”  By this, he meant that we could experience everything eternally good and true and beautiful that God has prepared for those who love Him.  Paul received an up close and personal revelation that Christ lived in him.  (Colossians 1:27)

Dearest friends, please STOP! For a moment, savor this truth. May His Divine Spirit linger with the actual revelation “Christ in me – Christ in me!”  Having that revelatory moment regarding that the life of the godhead is within your very own life, what would that do for YOU in your life, in the life of your loved ones, the life of your church, and the life of our nation?  This would revolutionize our world as we would then walk in our Kingdom identity and in such Kingdom authority, living from a Kingdom perspective of Yes and Amen!

I would like to give you a Christmas challenge and ask you to meditate on and marinate in this truth—”Christ in me”—and see what will happen.  I believe you will experience the breadth, the depth, and the height of His love exploding into your very existence and spilling out all around us.  It gives a new meaning to “Emmanuel”—the God that is with us, the God that is for me and within me.

“Christ in me” truly means that all things are possible with Him and nothing is too difficult for Him.  Remember the “Christ in me” closed the mouth of the lions for Daniel, the “Christ in me” parted the Red Sea, made the sun stand still for Joshua, put a baby in the arms of Sarah, raised Lazarus from the dead, and opened the prison cell for Peter. Remember, the “Christ in me” can do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think.  (Ephesians 3:20)

This, I believe, is the true Christmas story! I pray you continually ponder and declare this word—”Christ in me”—so you will shine so brightly in this season that any heaviness, sadness, any COVID-19, any post-election fraud, any family divisions, and any physical or financial situations can and will be dispelled because “Christ in me” can and will do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think!

Gloria, in excelsis Deo, Glory to God in the Highest, echoing their joyous strains. Shepherds, why this jubilee?  Why your joyous strains prolong?  What the gladsome tiding be, which inspire your heavenly song? It’s the “Christ in Me” echoing our joyous strains, Gloria in excelsis Deo.  Raise, raise a song on high, the virgin sings her lullaby:  Joy, joy for, Christ is born, The Babe, the Son of Mary!

Counseling Updates and Prayer Needed:
Both Tommy and I continue to counsel over Skype and Zoom.  I have a 15-year-old from China, whose parents are missionaries in a distant land.  I continue to counsel folks from the US and from Europe.  I also see a 10-year-old who is talking about taking his life.  These COVID days have placed lots of pressure on our youth. In addition, I continue to work with many ongoing clients, who continue to thrive and grow.
